Overview
Trenbolone enanthate is a potent 19-nor synthetic androgen (a derivative of nandrolone, originally developed for veterinary cattle finishing) carrying a C17beta enanthate ester. Free trenbolone binds the androgen receptor with roughly three times the affinity of testosterone and does not aromatize to estradiol, nor is it 5-alpha-reduced. Its 11-day half-life supports a twice-weekly injection schedule in research protocols, with a 2-3 week run-up to steady serum levels. The lack of aromatization removes estrogenic water retention but does not remove cardiovascular strain. Trenbolone is notorious for dyslipidemia, renal stress, and psychological effects, and harm-reduction monitoring focuses on blood pressure, lipids, and kidney markers.
