# TB-500 Fragment

*Also known as: TB-500 (FRAG), LKKTETQ*

Short active fragment of thymosin beta-4 intended to retain the healing motif with faster clearance.

## Overview

TB-500 Fragment is a short, synthetic peptide built around the LKKTETQ active motif of thymosin beta-4, the full-length actin-sequestering protein involved in tissue repair and wound healing. By isolating the active sequence, the fragment aims to retain thymosin beta-4 healing and recovery signaling while clearing faster than the parent peptide. It is studied for tendon, ligament, and muscle recovery. The fragment has an estimated half-life of roughly one hour and about 50% bioavailability. Like the parent TB-500, this fragment has very limited human pharmacokinetic data and is not an approved medication. Most supporting evidence comes from in vitro and animal work on thymosin beta-4.
