# Halotestin

*Also known as: Fluoxymesterone, Halo*

Extremely hepatotoxic oral; pure strength/aggression, minimal hypertrophy.

## Overview

Halotestin (fluoxymesterone, or Halo) is an oral anabolic-androgenic steroid and a fluorinated DHT derivative. The 9-alpha-fluoro and 11-beta-hydroxy groups block aromatization entirely and shift its effect profile toward raw androgenic action (strength and aggression) rather than hypertrophy. It binds the androgen receptor but produces minimal mass gain for its potency, which is why clinical use historically focused on androgen replacement in hypogonadism and on treating anemia in certain cancers. The dataset records a half-life of roughly 2 hours, with Cmax near 800 ng/dL at the 10 mg reference dose and about 57% bioavailability. That short half-life means serum levels swing fast, so it is dosed twice daily in documented protocols. The defining concern is severe hepatotoxicity, the worst of any oral in this dataset.
