# GHRP-2

*Also known as: Pralmorelin, GHRP2*

Growth hormone secretagogue that acts on the ghrelin receptor to amplify GH pulses.

## Overview

GHRP-2 (pralmorelin) is a growth hormone secretagogue that acts on the ghrelin (GHS-R1a) receptor to amplify pulsatile growth hormone release. It sits in the same family as GHRP-6 but is generally considered more potent at GH release while producing less of the appetite stimulation that defines GHRP-6, which is why it gets preferred when hunger is an unwanted side effect. Like other GHRPs it works through a pathway distinct from GHRH analogs, so stacking the two produces a stronger combined GH response. The estimated half-life is roughly one hour with around 50% subcutaneous bioavailability, driving multiple daily doses in research contexts. Human pharmacokinetic data is limited and GHRP-2 is not an approved medication.
