# CJC-1295 with DAC

*Also known as: CJC-1295 DAC, Drug Affinity Complex*

Long-acting GHRH analog with a drug-affinity complex that extends half-life to ~6–8 days; weekly dosing.

## Overview

CJC-1295 with DAC is a synthetic analog of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) engineered with a drug affinity complex that binds serum albumin. That albumin binding stretches the half-life out to roughly six to eight days, compared with about 30 minutes for the non-DAC version (modified GRF 1-29). The result is sustained, steady GH release rather than the sharp pulses of shorter GHRH analogs. Estimated subcutaneous bioavailability sits near 70%. CJC-1295 with DAC reached Phase 2 trials for growth hormone deficiency but never gained approval, so long-term human safety data is limited. Most practical dosing knowledge comes from a handful of pharmacokinetic studies and off-label use.
